Hi, I'm looking to find out any info about the Who Cares A Lot - Greatest Hits bonus tracks.

Mostly, I would just like to know when they were recorded, for example:

Hippie Jam Song
Instrumental
I Won't Forget You

Just curious to know the specific players on the tracks and the era.

Hippie Jam Song sounds like it was made either before Patton joined or just after The Real Thing (before Angel Dust).

Instrumental sounds like it might have been before Angel Dust (and written by Jim Martin).

I Won't Forget you sounds like something after King For A Day, but might even be after Album of The Year. Although Patton's voice doesn't sound that old. Perhaps it is even before King For A Day....

I'm stumped.

Also, if I buy the Who Cares A Lot? DVD, is there ANY other footage, interviews, backstage stuff etc... in between the videos, or is it strictly JUST the FNM Videos?

I remember Video Croisant had some nice little FNM behind-the-scenes style nuggets.

If anyone can answer these questions, I'd be very grateful!
Cheers!!

I don't know about that songs.... The discography file on fnm.con doesn't report them.... :unsure:

I think...

Hippie Jam Song --> '91-'92
Instrumental --> I don't know...
I Won't Forget You --> King For A Day or Album Of The Year period... as you said...

The Dvd is identical to the "Video Croissant" VHS... apart from the 5.1 sound option :D

I believe all 3 of those were recorded between King for A Day and Album of the Year. My reason for thinking so is in the vocal style, drum sounds, and the guitar tone. I know what you're saying about "Hippie Jam Song" sounding like it was from "The Real Thing" era but that's probably because they keyboard part sounds like something from that era. Maybe they goofed around with it live during that time but I really think these were all recorded at the same time. They all share the same unmastered pre-mixed quality and the guitar tones are definitely not Jim Martin.

I don't know, I certainly could be wrong.
